Aiming For Our Best Year Yet in 2010!

Friday, January 15th, 2010

High Trenhouse is setting ambitious targets for occupancy in the year ahead with much of our accommodation already booked. We look forward to seeing clients who have enjoyed our hospitality before, but  we also welcome a number of new groups in 2010.

Our clients include medium sized companies, large organisations and independent consultants who are requiring the perfect venue for their event . The type of events include management workshops, training and development events and teambuilding.

High Trenhouse has also seen it’s leisure market grow over the past two years and we continue to work with group organisers who run all kinds of leisure activities.

Not everyone is aware that we can also provide top-class facilitation, outdoor learning activities and also LogoVisual thinking processes.  It is a very broad offering with something for everyone.

Corporate clients this year are mostly focused on leadership team development, much of it concerned with strategy development.  Others are more down to earth with smaller organisations taking time out to get together to think about their future.

Leisure groups cover walkers, painting, yoga and various special occasions such as family gatherings and re-unions. Our longest repeat booking is a group now celebrating its 13th anniversary.

We pride ourselves in giving excellent value. We offer exclusive use with attentive and responsive service so that the place runs around your people and your process.  There are still some vacancies in 2010.  If you don’t know High Trenhouse, please get in touch and we will be glad to show you around.  Don’t leave it too late to enquire – its going to be a busy year.

Leisure Groups at High Trenhouse

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

High Trenhouse offers catered group leisure accommodation in the heart of the countryside near Malham in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. We welcome groups of all kinds – walking groups, painting holidays, photography courses, yoga retreats, weddings, celebrations and family re-unions.

The Yorkshire Dales are justly famous – upland moors and river valleys provide excellent terrain for walking or touring. For the adventurous there are fine caving areas and challenging rock climbs. Walk north from High Trenhouse and you might not see anyone all day. Walk south and you easily reach the popular village of Malham and a little further, the small market towns of Skipton or Settle, both, incidentally, on the world famous Settle-Carlisle railway.

The Pennine Way passes within a mile along the shores of Malham Tarn and the Pennine Bridleway is also close by. For walking, cycling, trekking, touring the dales, nature studies, painting or just sitting around and reading – High Trenhouse is the ideal venue.

Meet The Team

Monday, June 29th, 2009

John Varney, Managing Director, bought High Trenhouse, a rundown traditional upland farmstead, in 1976 to create a place for people to learn and develop.  It has evolved into an exceptional residential venue for management retreats, leadership development, strategic thinking and leisure groups.

John’s wife, Bernadette, has cultivated an ambience of warm hospitality that encourages safe interaction.  “When people feel they are with friends in the country”, says Bernadette, “they can let go and rediscover meaning”.

We are always delighted to welcome visitors, so give us a call…….I’ll put the kettle on.
